Understanding racial discrimination, from a cultural perspective relative 

to its roots in the world.

 

COMPETENCY #2

Demonstrate the ability to organize and conduct projects that encourage action and sustainability through self expression and activism. 

 

COMPETENCY #3

Develop methods of curating information by understanding the use of 

various channels of research for use in planning activism.

 

COMPETENCY #4

Receive examples of and develop an understanding of DIVERSITY

 

COMPETENCY #5

Understand and Demonstrate value in INCLUSION by identifying and accepting differences in traditions, customs, communication and expressions of persons.

 

COMPETENCY #6

Understand the dynamics of cross cultural communication in message reception and delivery. 

 

COMPETENCY #7

Understanding police brutality from a cultural perspective relative to its roots in the world.  Additionally, tactics in law enforcement engagement.

 

COMPETENCY #8

Understanding the meaning of democracy and US voting rights from a cultural perspective relative to its roots in the world.

 

COMPETENCY #9

Understanding the climate crisis, from a cultural perspective relative to 

its roots in the world.

 

COMPETENCY #10

Understanding housing and food insecurity, from a cultural perspective relative to its roots in the world.

 

 

Each lesson/event will include at least 4 objectives in an effort to cover at least THREE competencies.
