As a social and environmental justice advocate, Dr. Lairalaine is Founder of Perspectives on Social Justice and Director of the Social Justice Camp for Kids.

With more than twenty years of experience in education, Dr. White began her career as a Head Start teacher, working with families and children in underserved communities.   She quickly rose from the classroom to center director, education coordinator and administrator developing inclusion programming.  Additionally, she worked for more than seven years with youths in state custody as well as homeless and commercial sexually exploited children and youths.

As an ordained Itinerate Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she has gained notoriety for her wit and candor in various speaking opportunities here in the United States and abroad focusing on social justice along with and spiritual development of women, strategic planning, succession planning, change management, board development, housing and urban development.
She is a graduate of Texas Southern University (BA - Psychology/Biology), as well as a graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center where she was awarded both a Masters of Divinity (Church Administration and Leadership) and Doctorate of Ministry (Social and Environmental Justice).
